Privacy
This site can hold sensitive emotional writing. The design principle is therefore to collect as little as possible and to keep private text structurally out of reach — not to promise good behaviour with data we could have taken.
What you write in the quiz, the journal, the reflections, the letters and the boundary tools stays in your own browser. It is not uploaded, not placed in a page address, and not sent to any analytics service.
What we do not ask for
- Your real name, or any name.
- Your date of birth or age.
- Any diagnosis, medical history or medication.
- Any trauma history or details of anything that happened to you.
- Family members' names, photographs or private messages.
- Identity documents of any kind.
- An email address, to use the free check or to read anything.
What is stored in your browser
The free check and the Inner Child Map use your browser's local storage, under keys
beginning ich.. That includes your quiz answers and
result, your onboarding answers, your pattern reflections, journal entries, saved scripts
and boundary phrases, your calm menu, permission slips, plan notes, weekly reviews and
your playbook.
Local storage lives on the device you used, in the browser you used. We cannot read it, it is not synced to us, and it does not travel with you to another device. It also means that clearing your browser data deletes it — which is why every module has an export.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, it records page-level events only. The complete list of events that may ever be sent is:
article_viewquiz_startquiz_completequiz_result_viewproduct_cta_clicksales_page_viewcheckout_startpurchase
Nothing else is permitted, and the following are never included in any event payload: quiz answers, journal text, reflection text, trigger descriptions, boundary situations, self-talk entries, letter content, or anything else you typed. A build-time check scans the deployed site for exactly this and fails the deployment if it finds it.
Page addresses
No answer, reflection or private note is ever encoded into a URL — not as a query string, not as a fragment. Your result page reads from your browser's own storage rather than from the address bar, which is why a result link is not shareable and why nothing private ever appears in a server log, a referrer header or a browser history entry.
Indexing
Everything private is marked noindex and excluded from the sitemap: the quiz
result page, the checkout and access pages, and every page of the Inner Child Map. Search
engines are not invited to any of it.
Payment
When the Inner Child Map goes on sale, payment will be handled entirely by a third-party payment provider on their own pages. We will never see, handle or store card details. Access is granted to the browser you buy from — there is no account, no password and no email list.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Local storage is used as described above and is not a cookie: it is never transmitted with requests.
Deleting everything
- Inside the Inner Child Map, the Delete my data button at the foot of every module removes every entry this site has stored in that browser.
- Clearing site data in your browser settings does the same thing.
- If you have emailed us, ask us to delete the correspondence at hello@theinnerchildhealing.com and we will.
Third parties
The site is served as static files from a content delivery network, which necessarily processes your IP address in order to deliver the page, as any web host does. There are no embedded third-party widgets, no social media pixels, no advertising networks, no web fonts loaded from a third party, and no chat tools.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not intended for under-16s.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to hello@theinnerchildhealing.com.
